What is Cozy in Pixels?

This is a hobby blog created by me, Chels, as a place to share all my thoughts specifically regarding cozy games. As a formerly lapsed gamer, I got back into gaming during the 2020 Covid era as a way to destress. With that, came the introduction of Animal Crossing. Can you guess where this is going?

Long story short, I’ve since discovered the world of cozy gaming and have fallen in love! As an adult who works full-time, it’s so nice to just pop into bed and harvest a few virtual crops before calling it a night. Sure, I love to play all genres, but I see those games talked about quite a bit and don’t have much more to add. Focusing on cozy games will help keep my perfectionist brain from thinking I have to cover all things as soon as they release. That’s not what this blog is.

The Cozy Content Corner

Instead, this blog is truly a creative outlet that I’ll use to share some thoughts when a few tweets simply aren’t enough. What was exciting about returning to gaming back in 2020 was that there were so many games I hadn’t played and needed to catch up on! Cozy in Pixels feels like the perfect place to visit (or revisit) some games and share what I think about them, regardless of how old they may be.

Who knows what the space will turn into, but the goal for now is to share reviews form a casual gamer’s perspective, revisit games that I initially didn’t connect with, and discuss my thoughts on some of the general discussions that pop up in the cozy gaming community. (Tired of farming sims, anyone? I’m definitely not!)

Where to Find @cozyinpixels

Please follow the new Twitter account @cozyinpixels to see when new posts are published! It will exclusively share blog content, so if you’re interested in not-so-cozy games as well, you can find me @styledgem on Twitter. It’s more of a real-time account where I share what games I’m playing even if they aren’t cozy. Most recently, I finished up my current GOTY, 1000xResist!

Support for FREE on Patreon - Let’s Create a Community!

Lastly, I’ve also launched a FREE Patreon. My hope is to build a cozy gaming community there. All blog posts will be linked on Patreon as well so you can stay up to date with all of your other favorite creators while remaining in the loop for Cozy in Pixels.

Stay tuned!
